CSR 2021: Your Health is in your Hands
Considering the unforeseen impact on the economy and business landscape when the pandemic began in 2020, the company was unable to continue its CSR program in the said year.
But our company is extremely fortunate to thrive in these unpredictable times, and we remember the selfless heroes who continue to face the dangers of the Coronavirus head-on and on a daily basis. These are the frontliners — many nameless doctors, nurses, and healthcare industry staff.
The recent fire that broke loose in the Philippine General Hospital caused infrastructure damages, though luckily it did not claim any lives. PGH is the country’s biggest COVID-19 referral hospital and they are always on the brink of reaching maximum capacity, especially with COVID cases.
With that said, RAROCO Insurance wants to give back to those who have given so much to keep the rest of the nation alive and well.
In line with the company’s deep concern for environmental issues, we have chosen to provide locally produced plant-based Castile liquid hand soaps to at least 180 healthcare workers in PGH. Why liquid Castile soap? It is safe for sensitive skin, it naturally hydrates, it soothes irritated skin plus it is free from harmful chemicals abundant in commercial soaps that not only leech into and pollutes the environment, it also has endocrine disruptors and possible carcinogens that affect both humans and animals alike. It uses natural ingredients to keep the cleansing properties pure and simple- Castile soap and essential oils. Since it is made by EAUAUA, a local entrepreneur who just so happens to be our president, the products were purchased in part Sodexo GC and part cash plus on a discount to help lessen company expense.
